Welcome to the Tri-Cities, TN/VA, the only region ever to win the All-America City Award from the National Civic League.

Sixty communities in 14 counties and two states have come together to make this possible. It might surprise you to know that not long ago these same communities fought amongst themselves in turf-guarding rivalries. In recent years, however, we have come to see and enjoy the benefits of working as a united region with common goals.

One of the brightest rewards of this active movement towards regionalism is the All-America City designation. The Tri-Cities, TN/VA was one of only 10 winners of the award. There were 93 applicants. We view our recognition as an All-America Region as proof we are meeting our true goal: co-operatively improving the quality of life throughout our region.

As you browse this Site, you'll see many examples of what makes this unique region deserving of All-America status. You'll meet the people and see our communities. You'll see the work being done every day to make life in our region better, from the projects which were featured in our All-America City presentation to ongoing projects and brand new ideas.
